Albert Rennie Haske, Jr., age 74, of Rising Sun, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 2, 2026. He was born on November 6, 1951, in Darby, Pennsylvania, and was the son of the late Albert Rennie Haske, Sr., and Jane Ruth (Brown) Haske.
Albert had a lifelong love of history, music, motorcycles, and the people he held dear. A true history buff, he earned his degree in history and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. He often led historical trips for his Harley-Davidson riding group, of which he was a longtime member through both local and national H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) chapters.
Albert also had a passion for NASCAR and was involved with the Wood Brothers Racing Team as a member of the pit crew. He was a devoted Baltimore Ravens and Orioles fan and loved listening to live music. A natural musician, Albert taught himself to play both piano and guitar.
Some of Albert’s happiest memories were made with his family in Cape May, a special place he loved dearly. He enjoyed annual family trips there, as well as admiring and photographing beautiful sunsets and lighthouses. After retiring, Albert continued to share his passion for learning by working as a substitute teacher for Cecil County Public Schools. He also served as a Sunday school teacher at Freedom Church.
Above all, Albert was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was deeply involved in the lives of his daughters as they grew up, always making sure he was there for them and their families.
Albert will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Linda J. Haske; his daughters, Constance Haske Garrison (Lance) and Alison Marousek (Tom); his grandchildren, Tristan, Avelyn, Lawson, Emma, and Abby; and his siblings, Debbie Pharo (Sandy), David Haske (Linda), Richard Haske (Donna), Ann Suidy (Bill), and Alice Mose (Larry).
A celebration of Albert’s life will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 4:30 PM at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, Maryland. The family will begin receiving family and friends at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the “American Cancer Society”.
Albert’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. His love of history, music, family, and life will continue to be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
