Albert Harley Eastburn, 92, passed away peacefully in his Elkton home on January 3, 2025. Born June 7, 1932, in Wilmington, DE, to the late Oliver Heller Eastburn and Eva Irene (Hanna) Eastburn.
Al was a United States Navy veteran and served his country in the Korean War. After his discharge, he spent over twenty years working for New Castle County as a heavy equipment operator. He will be remembered for his passion for building things, most notably his home. He could always be found tinkering outside and or often visiting estate auctions. He has left behind many fond memories, like dancing and playing music with his brother at the VFW in Middletown.
Al is survived by his beloved wife: Cynthia Eastburn; his sons: Donald Eastburn and Steven E. Eastburn; his daughter: Patricia Dee Eastburn; his nephew: Todd Finch; his niece: Melissa Finch and his six beautiful grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother: James Atwood Eastburn.
All are invited to join Al’s family for a visitation on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921. A burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please donate to a charity of your choice, sent in care of R.T. Funeral Home, P.A. to the same address.
