Adrienne L. Boyd, age 88, of Elkton, MD, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. She was born on June 20, 1934 in Reading, PA to the late Harry Zieber and Dorothy (Brown) Zieber.

Adrienne graduated from Elkton High School in June of 1952. She was very active with coordinating her high school reunions and getting all her classmates together for 70 years. Adrienne worked at Cecil County Public Schools as a bookkeeper for many years before retiring. She was a member of the Elkton Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. Adrienne enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, but most of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents Adrienne is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jesse Pierson Boyd, Sr.

Adrienne is survived by her son, Jesse P. Boyd, Jr and his wife, Nancy of Easton, MD; daughter, Karen Boyd Clewer and her companion, Todd Gallen of Elkton, MD; granddaughter, Lauren Boyd Leventry and her husband, Jamie of Annapolis, MD, Megan Grossman and her husband, Logan of Queenstown, MD, Dr. Emily Davis and her husband, Brett of Rising Sun, MD, Rachel Clewer of Elkton, MD, and Molly Clewer and her fiancé, Andrew Biddle of North East, MD; and six great-grandchildren: Natalie, Pierson, Karly, and Jakob Grossman, Olivia and Colton Davis; sister, Jackie Zieber of Elkton, MD; and brother, Harry Zieber of Schenectady, NY.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Elkton Presbyterian Church, 209 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 11:00 am where friends and family may begin visiting at 10:00 am at Elkton Presbyterian Church. Burial will be held at Cherry Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921.

The memory of our teenage years will always be with me. Adrienne was a very good friend and a good person. Even though we were not in touch very often, it was always such a joy to see her. We were friends since 7th grade. We danced together, we marched together and we spent lots of time together. It will always be a wonderful memory. Prayers to the family for their loss.

My sincerest condolences to Adrienne's family and friends. I served as Elkton's town administrator while Jesse was in office and very frequently was fortunate to meet and speak with Adrienne. She was a most gracious and lovely person, and certainly exuded an aurora of energy and caring that was unmistakably her nature. A loss that I'm sure will be felt by all of her family and friends, but her memory will lighten their hearts. Lewis

I attended the University of Delaware with Karen. I have fond memories of going to Karen”s house in Elkton and seeing her mother. She would take me out to eat and was always so kind. She always had a big smile. It made me feel like I was home.

Our hearts are with Mrs. Boyd's family. Gigi was a ray of sunshine! She always had a smile and laugh by Karen's pool. I loved her book recommendations and her enjoyment of Westerns on the television. Karen, your daily care of your Mom is admirable and you made Adrienne the focal point of your life when she needed you most. I know you will cherish your memories of her life well lived.
