William “Bill” Robert Rupp, age 66, of Charlestown, MD, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023. He was born in Baltimore, MD on December 1, 1956 to the late Edward Henry Rupp and the late Carolyn Jane (Wells) Rupp.

Bill was a family man who loved and adored his wife, children, and grandchildren. His eyes lit up every time he saw one of his grandchildren or got a chance to hold them. He was a one-of-a-kind grandfather. One of Bill’s favorite pastimes were cookouts and being with his family. Bill was talented and had knowledge of all things involving automobiles and auto repair. Bill also enjoyed and was very skilled at upholstery and refinishing of furniture. He was known for being a jokester that was full of life. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Bill is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Barbara L. Rupp; six children: Matthew D. Rupp and his wife Karen A. Sanchez, Mark D. Rupp and his wife Danielle E. Rupp, Ashley E. Rupp and her husband Zachary L. Dykema, Amanda V. Rupp, Joshua A. Rupp and his wife Shirley M. Rupp, and Johnathan A. Rupp; five grandchildren and another one yet to arrive: Annabella M. Dykema, Jagger L. Dykema, Myla F. Rupp, Maverick W. Rupp, and Nora L. Rupp; and brother, James E. Rupp.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his dog Chad, whom he loved dearly.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911 where family and friends may begin visiting at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at North East Methodist Cemetery, 101 Cemetery Road, North East, MD 21901.
