William “Bill” A. Marquess, age 47, of Fair Hill, MD passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 9, 2017. Bill was the son of Norman E. and Wanda J. Marquess.
Bill was a graduate of Elkton High School, “Class of ’88.” He loved his family first and always. He enjoyed riding his Harley with many of his buddies. Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman. He went on the hunt of a lifetime to see each of his boys get their first black bears. He spent many years on the Chesapeake Bay with family and friends rock fishing and spending family time in Rock Hall. Over the years, Bill was a member of Singerly Fire Company, Station 3, “Animal House” where he made many lifelong friends.
Bill is survived by his wife of 24 years, Autumn Marquess of Fair Hill, MD; sons: Tanner Marquess, Travis Marquess of Fair Hill, MD; daughter, Addy Marquess of Fair Hill, MD; sister, Adana and her husband Rob Padgette; mother and father-in-law, Chuck and Jane Crouse; sister-in-law, Season and her husband Shane Parlier; nieces and nephews: Nacole Wilson (Matt), Marty Marquess (Ashley), Kiersa Padgette, Scarlett and Javier Parlier; and great nephew, Asher Marquess.
Bill was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Clara Poe Pennington; paternal grandparents, William and Ruth Marquess; and his lifelong friend, Lou Richardson.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at R. T. Foard Funeral Home, P. A., 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921. Family and friends may attend the visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Cherry Hill Methodist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “Singerly Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary” and send in care of the funeral home.
