Wayne Clifford Kyle, age 74, of Port Deposit, Maryland, passed away
peacefully at his home with his loving daughter by his side. Born on
January 4, 1951, in Rising Sun, Maryland, he was the cherished son of
the late John Thomas Kyle and Ruth Lillian (Barrett) Kyle, and the
devoted husband of the late Margaret Rose Kyle, who preceded him in
death in 2024.
Wayne worked as the Purchasing Agent for the Harford County Public
Library System until his retirement. He was a proud fan of the Baltimore
Orioles and had a great appreciation for British comedies, often found
enjoying a good laugh in front of the television. A dedicated bird
watcher, Wayne took great joy in setting up feeders and observing birds
from his front porch, where he found peace in the simple beauty of
nature.
Wayne will be remembered by his family as a generous soul—always
ready to help anyone in need, even offering the shirt off his back. His
kindness, humor, and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew
and loved him.
In addition to his parents and beloved wife, Wayne was preceded in
death by his sons, Scott and Brian.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Kati Comer; two grandchildren; his
sister, Barb schmidt, and her husband, Dave; his nephew, John Schmidt;
and his loyal cat, Cocoa.
A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM at
R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, Maryland 21911. The family will begin receiving friends at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will follow at West Nottingham Cemetery.
