


Vivian Marie West, 83, of Newark, DE passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015.
Born March 18, 1931, Vivian was the daughter of the late Charles William Jones and the late Florence Estelle Sharon Jones McCann. She was a member of the Elkton Moose Lodge and the VFW Post 475. She enjoyed dancing, music, bingo, and playing cards. The family would like to thank Vista Hospice for the care and compassion they gave Vivian, especially to Crystal and Fredrick.
Vivian is survived by two sons, James and wife, Mary and Rusty West; four daughters, Ann Mears and husband, Bill, Judy Carlin and husband, Ron, Debbie Linden and husband, Frank, Lorraine Gainey and husband Keith, and Holli Tomlinson; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister, Ruby Palmer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph G. West, Jr.; son, Joseph G. West III; and grandson, Larry Lee.
A visitation will be held from 1 to 2pm on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at R.T. Foard & Jones, Inc. 122 W. Main St., Newark, DE 19711. Burial will follow at Kemblesville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association and sent in care of the funeral home
