Viola M. Colpo, age 98, of Newark, DE, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at Season’s Hospice at Christiana Care in Newark, surrounded by her family. She was born February 8, 1915 in Laport, PA to the late John, Jr. and Phoebe (Cavanaugh) Hassen.

She is survived by her sons, John A. of Salisbury, MD, Gregory V. of Cleveland, GA, Mark H. of Wilmington, DE, Thomas P. of Wilmington, DE, and Dean M. of Clayton, DE; daughters Mary Ellen Eisenreid of West Seneca, NY, Colleen A. Lampertz of Leesburg, FL, and Jacinta White of Fripp Island, SC; 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her husband Jesse Colpo, son Patrick J. Colpo, infant daughter Mary and two grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church, 82 Possum Park Rd., Newark, DE 19711. Visitation will be held for friends prior to the service beginning at 930AM. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery Newark, DE.
