Sherry Ann Moyer, age 73, of Rising Sun, MD, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. She was born on November 7, 1952, in Elkton, MD, to the late Robert Carter, Sr., and Dorothy (Bryan) Hyrb.

Sherry had a deep and lifelong passion for nursing, proudly serving as a registered nurse for more than 50 years. Caring for others was her calling, and she touched countless lives with her compassion and dedication. Her greatest joy, however, was her family. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Sherry loved her family fiercely and unconditionally. Sherry was also a woman of strong faith, devoted to her church and to the Lord. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who knew her.

Sherry is survived by her loving husband of 55 ½ years, Roger Lee Moyer, Sr.; children: Hope Stammler (Terrill) and Roger Lee Moyer, Jr. (Tammy); grandchildren: Taylor Stammler, Roger Lee Moyer III (Allison), James Moyer (Skylar), and Liadan Stammler; great-grandchildren: Lane Moyer, Colson Moyer, and Holt Moyer; and sister, Mary Stewart. In addition to her parents, Sherry is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Carter, Jr.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 11:00AM at Victorious Life Full Gospel Ministries, 245 Old Zion Road, North East, MD 21901, where friends and family may begin visiting at 10:00AM. A burial at Ebenezer United Methodist Cemetery will follow.
