Samantha Beryl Pierce, age 18 of Rising Sun, MD passed away on August 5, 2025. She
was born on February 26, 2007 in Elkton, MD to Brian Curtis Pierce and Kerry McNulty
Pierce.

Samantha was a firecracker who enjoyed making those around her laugh with her
wicked sarcasm and sense of humor. She was protective of her family & friends.
Samantha loved her cats and dogs. She was obsessed with iced coffee and
experimenting with different flavors. Samantha had a long list of goals and dreams that
she intended on reaching. She had a passion for forensic science and dreamed of
getting involved in law enforcement after college. She aspired to make the world a
better place.

Samantha is survived by her loving parents, Brian and Kerry Pierce and her sister,
Hannah Pierce.

A service for Samantha will be held privately and at the family’s convenience.

I made a point to visit Sam at her place of work. She called me her emotional support teacher and I always said she was one of my favorite students (she always got upset at the “one” part). She was funny and sarcastic and we bonded over our love of cats. I will miss her emails and popping over to Wendy’s to see her. She was an amazing person and will be missed. My heart goes out to her family as they navigate this difficult time.

Kerry, Brian, and Hannah, I am deeply deeply sorry for your loss. Please know that we are all grieving for you and with you. I didn't know Samantha but I wanted to send prayers to her family and friends at this very difficult time, I can't imagine losing a child, it has to be the hardest thing a parent has to go through, again I'm so sorry for your loss

Samantha was always laughing and joking. She always brought happiness to those around her. She will be deeply missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
