Patricia Haggerty Pugh entered peacefully into rest on Friday, August 21, 2020. Her joy was found in spending time with her loving and devoted husband, Len, children and grandchildren, all who will miss her deeply.

Patti Pugh was born April 26, 1970 in Columbia, SC to Norman Kent Haggerty and Sherry Wilson Haggerty. She lived in Newark, DE since 1986, and resided in North East, MD since 2005. Her younger years were spent in Hickory, NC, Anderson, SC and Aiken, SC. Patti attended South Aiken High School and was active in dance, basketball, horseback riding and scouting. Her family moved to Newark, DE in 1986, and Patti attended Thomas McKean High School in Wilmington, DE. She was active in high school plays and chorus, and was a member of the high school band specializing in percussion instruments and flag twirling as part of the band color guard. Patti later expanded her musical skills to guitar.

Patti graduated from University of Delaware in 1992 with her bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Sciences. While attending college, she worked during her summer breaks at the DuPont Corporate Data Center. Patti’s successful career included corporate management of cybersecurity for CSC including network architecture engineering, and firewall security. While employed with CSC, Patti was manager of the North American Firewall Team. She recently was hired by JP Morgan Bank as Vice President of Cybersecurity. She was active in her community, and enjoyed supporting her children, Kaelan and Shannon, in their endeavors, which led Patti to serve as president of the Newark High School Volleyball Booster Club in 2018 & 2019. A few of Patti’s many fascinating hobbies were bee keeping, stained-glass forming, gardening, canning, cooking, and running. Patti completed several half-marathons, a full marathon and the Shamrock Whale Challenge in 2019.

Patti was an accomplished student of martial arts, and earned a third-degree black belt in Kenpo Karate. She enjoyed the family animals, including eight chickens, two cats and seven rescue dogs.

The Pugh family are members of North East United Methodist Church in North East, MD.

In addition to her parents, Kent and Sherry Haggerty, Patti is survived by her husband, Len Pugh III and children: Kaelan and Shannon Eberle, Cassie Cannon (Billy), Len Pugh IV (Samantha); and Brittany Pugh. She is also survived by her sisters, Susan Wallick (Dan), Katherine Mason (Jake), Jennifer Haggerty (Corynn), brother-in-law Richard (Anita), uncles Ray, Pat (Leah), and Kit (Carol), aunt Kelly (James), cousin Erin, nieces Georgia and Ava, nephews Jacob, Zachary, Samuel and Joshua, and grandchildren Zoey, Lenny V, Dean, Jack and Violet.

A viewing will be held Friday, August 28, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911. Funeral services will be held privately for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, may be directed to “Susan G.
