Patricia “Pat” Grace Aulgur, 68, passed away on September 22, 2025.

Pat lived a life filled with compassion, dedication, and a deep love of animals and family.

She is survived by her two children, William Todd Aulgur (Angela) and Anna Patricia Klement; and her cherished grandchildren, Connor, Ronan, Evie, and Belle. Pat was a beloved sister to William Coolidge (Tracy), Scott Coolidge (Joda), Pam Murphy (Jay), Jeff Coolidge (Shirlee), Jill Conte (Jeff), and Todd Coolidge (Melissa).

Pat grew up in Newark, Delaware before going to high school in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, nursing school at the Arnot Ogden School of Nursing in Elmira, New York, and then returned to the Newark area.

Pat’s lifelong love of animals, especially horses and dogs, was central to who she was. As a young woman, she was the president of the Middletown Pony Club. Pat was the navigator of a single horse driving team which competed in competitions throughout the U.S. and Europe. She and her driving partner were the top finishers in the 2010 World Championships.

Her professional life was spent in service to others. Pat had a long and distinguished nursing career, specializing as a member of the Vascular Access team at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. After returning to nursing through the University of Delaware’s RN Refresher Program in 2009, she not only rejoined the profession with passion but also went on to serve as a clinical preceptor, mentoring others entering the field. Her patients, colleagues, and students all benefited from her warmth, skill, and steady guidance.

Outside of her career, she enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family and friends, baking, and being an avid reader. She was also an avid fan of the Eagles, Phillies, and Flyers.

Her love, laughter, and infectious smile, along with her commitment to those around her, will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew her.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by R.T. Foard Funeral Home of Newark, Delaware. Information regarding a celebration of life will be forthcoming in the next several weeks.

Although our time together at hopkins was short. I’ll never forget the devilish smile you made when you said something smart . You really did love your family and were always so proud to show pictures of your grandkids. I hope you are in paradise with all the things you love!

Pat was a very special person. She helped me so much when I started at Johns Hopkins. She never belittled me when I was learning to work with central lines. She was fun and a very hard worker. She enjoyed her patients and her coworkers. She often spoke endearingly of her kids, grand kids and of course her horses. Pat will be missed.

Wow, Pat. I did not think you would go so young. During my time at JHH VAT, you were my staunchest friend and ally. We fought for that union so hard, didn't we? You were a brave and loyal friend and I will miss you sorely. The photo that you posted in August, of your farm in the moon light shows that you were enjoying your peaceful life with your horses. I am so glad you had that peace. I will miss your friendship. Rest easy.

My mentor, my inspiration, my friend.

We always thought we would see you again, on this earth. Now it will have to be in heaven. And we never think of you without your horses 💕and a barn just outside your backdoor... We miss you. Love always

I was so saddened to hear of Pat's passing. I have such fond memories of growing up together and spending time with her, Pam and the family. Even though we only stayed in touch occasionally in recent years, I always admired her spirit and presence. My heart goes out to her family during this difficult time.
