Pauline (D’Andrea) Malanga, aged 77, of Hollywood, FL, reunited with her loving husband Michael John Malanga in the kingdom of heaven on August 12th, 2025.
Daughter of the late Gilberto D’Andrea and Rose (Volpe) D’Andrea, and sister to Valentino and the late Isabelle and Anna, Pauline held dear to childhood memories of eating cherries directly off the trees of Civitella del Tronto in her native Italy.
Arriving in Bronx, NY at age 9, she learned English as a second language, met and married Michael, moved to Florida, trained in stenography, worked as a bank teller and later managed a flower shop.
Pauline was by nature an artist. Early self-portraits and still life oil paintings later gave way in the busyness of motherhood to wire art, interior decor, floral arranging and much later to years of joyful volunteering at the Broward Center for the Arts.
A devoted mother, Pauline is lovingly remembered by her children and their spouses: Diana (Robert), Ronald (Peggy, and previously Michelle), Susan Dubuque (Robert), and Raymond (Connie) along with her grandchildren Kristi, Ryan, Nicholas, and Matthew.
Her legacy of love continues through her nieces Doreen, Patricia, Maryann, and Ruth, her nephews Bobby and Michael along with each of their spouses and children.
Though she has departed this world, Pauline lives on in the hearts and minds of her loving family, her cherished neighbors Nico and Luckrisha, her dearest friends Janice, Sheila, Ramona, Richard and Arthur, and her many acquaintances from her church and her volunteerism.
May she rest in peace.

I had Pauline requested to prayers for the deceased at Nativity Catholic Church in Hollywood, FL last weekend. Her name also was listed on the "Let Perpetual Light Shine Upon Them" article in the September 14th bulletin. It can be seen online on the parish website. I had her requested to prayers for the sick a few times during her illness, I would always give her a call to let her know. I will miss our long chats. May she be at peace!

My thoughts and prayers are with Pauline's family who she always talked about. I met Pauline when she trained me in ushering the balcony at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale. We had a close group of friends there on Friday nights. We also often had long one on one conversations after Sunday Mass at Nativity Catholic Church in Hollywood, FL or on the phone. I will miss her friendship forever. May she finally rest in eternal peace!
