Noah Quin Norona, age 22, of Elkton, MD passed away on March 19, 2018. Born in Newark, DE on August 18, 1995, he was the son of John Darrin and Julie Ann (Heberly) Norona.
Noah was a 2013 graduate of Rising Sun High School. After graduating from RSHS, he attended Towson University. Noah was an avid soccer and tennis player. He was also an excellent drummer, playing for multiple churches in the area. Noah was an active member at Grace Bible Chapel in Rising Sun, MD, and was also affiliated with The Journey Church in Newark, DE and Hereford United Methodist Church in Monkton, MD.
In addition to his parents, Noah is survived by his sister, Tara Emily Norona; paternal grandparents, Melvyn and Jean Norona of North East, MD; and maternal grandparents, Thomas and Shirley Heberly of York, PA.
A celebration of Noah’s life will be held at 11am on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Grace Bible Chapel, 1949 Joseph Biggs Memorial Highway, Rising Sun, MD 21911, where friends and family may visit beginning at 10am. Burial will follow at Rosebank Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made payable to “Greyhound Pet Adoptions of Delaware” and sent in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.

Words cannot express our thanks to God for bringing Noah into our lives. We first met Noah at Sandy Cove. We were summer campers and he played drums on the worship team. We would look forward to seeing Noah each summer. When I found out that he was attending Towson University and would be a 20 minute ride from our church - I asked Noah to pray about playing drums on our worship team (at Hereford UMC in Monkton, Md.) He enthusiastically agreed and became a loved member of our team and church family. Noah, besides being a gifted drummer, was always warm and friendly with a good sense of humor. Most of all, Noah had a deep love for Christ, and desired to do His will above all else. When Noah decided to give college a rest for awhile and go back to Elkton to work with his father, we were sad to see him go but knew that he was following God's plan for him. We are so saddened at Noah's death. It just doesn't make sense - yet we know that he is in heaven with the Lord, and that brings a peace and comfort the world doesn't understand. We loved Noah - and we commit to continue to pray for Darren, Julie and Tara - that the God of all comfort would surround them in His eternal and infinite love forever - but especially now in their time of need. We will always remember Noah, and the joy he brought to so many of us!
