Michelle’s vibrant personality was evident throughout her life. She attended Newark High School, where she began developing her passion for helping others. For many years, she dedicated herself to her work in customer service at Capital One, always striving to brighten someone’s day with her warm smile and infectious laughter.
A true lover of life’s simple joys, Michelle was happiest surrounded by family and the comforts of home. She adored gardening, cultivating a backyard filled with mint, strawberries, blueberries, and her beloved lilies. She was also a self-professed coffee enthusiast, rarely seen without a cup in hand. Her love for online shopping—particularly on Amazon—made her a master of finding unique items to beautify her home, which she took immense pride in decorating.
Michelle had a boundless sense of humor and a bold, fearless spirit. She was always quick with a joke and never afraid to speak her mind, traits that endeared her to those fortunate enough to know her. Her family remembers her as a fiercely protective and loving mother, who especially cherished time spent at the beach with her loved ones.
One of Michelle’s deepest passions was her advocacy for the protection of women from domestic abuse. She was a fierce and compassionate voice for others, channeling her strength and determination into helping those who needed it most.
Above all, Michelle’s heart belonged to her family. She shared a special bond with her daughters, Chloe and Alexus, who brought immense joy into her life. Michelle also shared her home with her treasured pets—her beloved Husky, Jazzy, and her affectionate cat, Mia—who were constant companions.
Michelle leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength. In addition to her parents and her devoted husband, she is survived by her daughters, Chloe Maloney and her fiancée, Corinthia Guzman, Alexus Maloney and her partner, Kenneth Bayne; her granddaughter, Halo Bayne; her brother, Matthew Maloney, and his wife Mallory; two nieces, two nephews, and her best friend, Jennifer Brandl, who stood by her through every high and low.
