Michael J. O’Brien, 74, of Elkton, MD passed away peacefully April 4, 2016 at his home. Born July 14, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA, Michael was the son of the late William and Anna (Boyle) O’Brien.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Anna Marie O’Brien; daughters, Linda Sexton and Donna Piluso and her husband, Anthony; four grandchildren, Jessica and Tony Sexton and Antonio and Nicole Piluso; one great grandson, Shane Matthew Sexton; brother, Edward O’Brien; and his two sisters, Elaine McKernan and Kathleen Darrah. Including his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Francis William O’Brien.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11am April 7, 2016 at St. Margaret of Scotland Roman Catholic Church, 2431 Frazer Road, Newark, DE 19702, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10am. Burial will be held Friday, April 8, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 W. County Line Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006 at approximately 11:30am where all are invited to meet for the committal service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made payable to St. Margaret of Scotland Roman Catholic Church or to Amedisys Hospice and sent in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 E. Main St., Elkton, MD 21921.
