Mary Lee Craig, age 65, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017. Born on September 23, 1952 in Havre de Grace, MD, Mary was the daughter of Lee (Campbell) Doll and the late John Comer, Sr.
Mary worked as an office manager for 25 years at Stephen Homes. Later she worked part time at Walmart in Oxford, where she enjoyed helping customers and working alongside her colleagues. She had a heart of gold and always had a kind word to say to others. Mary enjoyed cheering for her favorite football team, Ravens and was an Orioles fan as well. She enjoyed most being with her family, who she loved and cherished.
Including her mother, Mary is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, James Craig; daughter, Christine Kovacs of Rising Sun, MD; three sisters, Terry Thomas and her husband, George of Conowingo, MD, Lynn Comer of Monkton, MD and Anita Jaimes and her husband, John of Joppa MD; two step sons, Geoff Craig of Spring Hill, TN and James Craig of Colora, MD ; three step daughters: Sheron Montgomery of Conowingo, MD, Shelly Craig of Colora, MD and Mary Jo Craig of Colora, MD; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she is predeceased by her brother, John David Comer, Jr.
A Celebration of Mary’s life will be held at 11AM on Friday, December 1, 2017 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911. Friends and family may visit between 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the funeral home and one hour before the service on Friday beginning at 10AM.
