Lydia E. Dever, 89, of Elkton, MD, passed away peacefully at Calvert Manor Healthcare Center July 11, 2012.
The youngest of 9, Lydia was born in Concordville, PA, the daughter of the late Obed and Florence Eachus. She was a homemaker. She attended Elkton United Methodist Church, enjoyed music and playing BINGO. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Graham (Bill), Joanne Gates, both of Delaware and Kathleen Shifflett (Dan) of Elkton; six grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William T. Dever who died in 1973 and son in law Lewis Gates who died in December 2011.
A service honoring her life will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main St., Elkton, MD 21921 on Monday July 16, 2012 at 12 noon. Friends and family may call at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Lawn Croft Cemetery on Monday at 2:30 p.m.
