Louise V. Grace, age 102, of Newark, DE passed away on February 8, 2016. Born on March 9, 1913 to the late Waldo and Elsie (Fussner) Vaughn of Chardon, Ohio.
Louise retired on July 1, 1975 from Newark Woolworths as a book keeper after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star (OES), Martha Chapter #66 of Fort Atkinson, WI. Louise attended and was dedicated to the Wesleyan Church of Newark in Newark, DE. She enjoyed arts and crafts, crocheting, baking, and was an active participant in bowling for many years. Louise loved her family and cherished the time spent with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Grace, Madison, WI; grandchildren: Terri Hamlon; Bonnie Carr; Paula Folk; and Michael Rowe and his wife, Laura. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Louise is preceded in death by her late husband, J. Maynard (Mike) Grace; daughter, Lynda Rhoads; sisters: Charlotte Farinacci, and JoAnn Mesmer; and grandson, Robert Folk.
A service will be Friday, February 12, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Gracelawn Chapel, 2220 N Dupont Hwy, New Castle, DE 19720. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made payable to “Wesleyan Church of Newark” and/or “The Newark Senior Center” and sent in care of R.T Foard & Jones, Inc. 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711.
