Lisa C. Gibbons, age 57 of Wilmington, DE passed away on January 3, 2019. She was born on January 24, 1961 in Wilmington, DE to Charles William Morrison, Jr. and Betty Jean (Crispin) Morrison.
Lisa was a very fun spirited person and had a kind heart. She loved her family and would do anything for them. She had a passion for helping others in need. Although serious at times, she was known for her humor and entertainment with pranking others. Lisa loved being outside and in the sunshine, whether she was at the beach, swimming, or gardening. She enjoyed listening to music; especially Bruce Springsteen.
Lisa is survived by her mother, Betty Jean Morrison; father, Charles Morrison, Jr.; sister, Donna Morrison; brother, Charles W. Morrison, III (Angela); daughter, Sara Gibbons (Dave Mellor); son, Shawn Gibbons; fiancé, Mike Pisano; and their beloved dog, Jet.
A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM at R.T. Foard & Jones, Inc., 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711. Family and friends may attend the visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at White Clay Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to, “Hinde’s Animal Safe-Haven” and sent in care of the funeral home.

Lisa loved butterflies. My fondest memory of her was asking me if I would part with a calendar with beautiful drawings and pictures of butterflies when the year was over. Of course I gave it to her and she was so happy. This was right after her surgery several years ago and she was feeling so good and so grateful for the pictures. Sarah and family - I'm so sorry for your loss. Lisa was a beautiful person and Our Father who art in heaven was right there when she passed and HE welcomed his beautiful daughter into HIS kingdom where she will remain eternally!
