Linda “Charlene” Perry, lovingly known as Charlene, age 76, of Port Deposit, Maryland, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026. Born in Olney, Maryland on October 25, 1948, she was the beloved daughter of the late Harry Allcock and Sadie (née Leake) Allcock, and the devoted wife of 44 years to the late Earl Perry, who preceded her in death in 2008.
Charlene lived a life marked by service, dedication, and deep love for her family. She enjoyed a distinguished 20-year career with the United States Foreign Service, during which she spent many years overseas, embracing new cultures and experiences with grace and curiosity. Her work reflected her strong sense of duty and commitment to others.
Later in life, Charlene continued her lifelong spirit of service by volunteering for 14 years at North East Elementary School, where she worked in the kindergarten department. She took great joy in nurturing young children, offering patience, kindness, and encouragement that left a lasting impact on students and staff alike.
Charlene had a love for travel and treasured time spent exploring new places with family and friends. Above all else, family was the center of her world. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who always put the needs of her loved ones before her own. Her warmth, selflessness, and unwavering support will be remembered by all who were fortunate to know her.
She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Ables and her husband James, and Karen Dozier; her cherished grandchildren, James, Ana, Heath, and Nicolai; and her adored great-grandchildren, Noah, Eli, and Scotty. She is also survived by her companion of many years, Allan Adkins, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Charlene will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her generous heart, quiet strength, and the enduring love she shared so freely.
