Larry Michael Dodson, age 62 of North East, Maryland passed way peacefully on October 11, 2015 after a long battle with kidney disease at Union Hospital in Elkton, MD. He was born January 9, 1953 in West Grove, PA, to the late Otis Dodson Sr., and Hazel Emmogene Dodson of Nottingham, PA.

Larry enjoyed CB radios, NASCAR, and living up to his nickname, “Sleepy”.

He is survived by his son, John Rice (Angela Rice), daughter Jessica Dodson, father in law, Elbert Miller, sister, Kathy Riesler, and brother, Otis Dodson Jr. (Peggy Dodson) three grandchildren, Brandon, JT, and Angel Rice, and one great-grandchild, Summer Rice.

In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his wife, Delphia Dodson whom he met on the CB radio 36 years ago, three sisters, Chelsie Dodson Jones, Ester Morgan, and Patty Farmer, and a brother, Bobby Dodson.

A service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 35 Sylmar Rd., Rising Sun, MD 21911.Family and friends may visit one hour prior beginning at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Rosebank Cemetery.
