Kenneth Harris Greever, 67, of Landenberg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, surrounded by his devoted family. Born on November 14, 1957, in Salem, New Jersey, Ken was the beloved son of the late Henry Bowen Greever, Jr. and Helen Vernon (née Harris) Greever. He was the cherished husband of Judy Greever (née Carbine), with whom he shared 39 years of love, partnership, and unwavering commitment.
Ken began his professional life as a nuclear technician at the Salem Nuclear Plant, where he dedicated many years with diligence and expertise. Later, he transitioned into the field of property management, taking over a company that he successfully led for many years. Ken approached this new chapter with characteristic tenacity, mastering every aspect of the business from the ground up. His drive, intelligence, and resourcefulness enabled him to acheive every venture he pursued.
Gifted with a curious mind and hands that could bring ideas to life, Ken had a remarkable ability to learn new skills simply by reading and applying what he learned. He was a self-taught craftsman whose meticulous woodworking produced heirloom-quality furniture and treasured family pieces. His creative spirit and eye for detail left a legacy not only in the work he produced but also in the pride he took in making things with love.
Ken was also an avid boater, finding peace and joy on the open water. Whether cruising the serene coves of the Chesapeake Bay or exploring the coastal waters of Florida — where he and Judy spent a lot of happy times together — he was happiest at the helm with the sun on his face and the wind at his back. Ken was an avid gardener who grew a multitude of vegetables which he shared with family and friends. We enjoyed many family dinners with fresh veggies over the years. His nieces followed in his footsteps and developed a love of gardening from an early age and are carrying on his tradition.
Beyond his many talents, Ken will be remembered for his sharp wit and easy sense of humor. He had a gift for making others laugh and was a steady, reassuring presence to all who knew him. His warmth, wisdom, and generosity will be missed deeply by his family and countless friends.
Ken is survived by his loving wife, Judy; his children, Joshua Harris Greever (and wife Sintia), Austin James Greever (and wife Jen Baily), and Rory Reynolds Greever (and husband Nate Heckroth); and his cherished grandchildren, Bennett and Adrian. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, family members and dear friends who will continue to honor his memory.
In keeping with Ken’s wishes, all services will be private and held by the family.
