John H. Brandenberger, Jr. “Jack”, age 90 of Chesapeake City, MD passed away on October 6, 2018. He was born on December 25, 1927 in Wilmington, DE to the late John H. Brandenberger, Sr. and Florence (Bonsall) Brandenberger.

Jack grew up in Wilmington, DE and after high school, he was employed by Sun Oil Company where he was promoted to the Sun Oil Honor Club. He retired to Chesapeake City after many dedicated years. Jack was a proud charter member of the North Shrine Club and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was also a member of Royal Order of Jester No.164, Granite Lodge 34, and Trinity United Methodist Church in Chesapeake City, MD.

Jack is survived by his son, John H. Brandenberger, III (Judy) of Rock Hall, MD; grandson, John H. Brandenberger, IV of Chesapeake City, MD; granddaughter, Joan M. Brandenberger Chase (Austin) of Lander, WY; and sister in-laws: Betty Houck of Media, PA, and Jacquelyn Ryan of Chesapeake City, MD.

Services for Jack will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 11:00 am at Town Point United Methodist Church, 61 Port Herman Road, Chesapeake City, MD 21915. A visitation will begin at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to, “Chesapeake City United Methodist Church” and sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
