I am very sorry for loss. I only knew her a short time. But she was a great lady, Never Mrs. Leader, my name is Joan. You are blessed to have had such a wonderful woman in your lives. Again my heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of you.

I was sorry to read about Joanie. I think my parents, Sam and Cathy Kirkpatrick sold them a house, when they were newlyweds and they became friends. Many years later, when my Mother was in Sunbridge Nursing home, I saw Joanie again when she came to visit my Mother. She still looked the same to me, after all those years and it was good to talk to her. Thinking of you, Cathy Lewis

To John, Rick and Joan's family, We are so very sorry for your loss. Joan was a wonderful neighbor and we have shared so many things over the years. She welcomed us in your home, even for family holidays. We will miss her very much and send our sympathies, but we know that you will have lasting memories. It just won't be the same neighborhood without her. Thinking of you, Maggie and Richard

I'm so sorry to learn of your Mom's passing. She was a lovely, fun person to be around and I know Mom and Dad always enjoyed spending time with Joan and Dick. She will be missed.

It's impossible to remember "The Cottage" in Hances Point, MD, without thinking of Joan & Dick Leader. Whenever they would visit my parents, Betty & Herb Taylor, everyone would sit on the pavilion for a wonderful time of story telling & much laughter. I grew up thinking of Joan & Dick more as an aunt & uncle than just friends. Both were so very wonderful, and I'm glad they are together again in Heaven. My deepest condolences to Ricky, John and their families.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

One of the best memories of my last visit with my Mom was seeing the joy on her face anticipating your parents arrival for the afternoon. Always a smile, a good story and great memories. Franny
