So sorry for your loss.I did Jeans hair for several years and she was always a delight to start my Fridays at the salon.Always so positive. She sent me a letter letting me know her health was failing. She definitely was one of the strongest ladies I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.RIP

The world has lost one of the best women I have ever met. Aunt Jean taught my sister and I piano when we were growing up. My family owes her so much. She was giving, practical, and a true teacher. She embodied my life motto of 'Keep on Truckin' and I will miss our conversations. Thoughts and prayers for her family and friends - with faith that we will meet again.

Jean loved sharing her gardening wisdom and favorite dessert recipes. (brownies, meringue cookies, rum cake, sugared pecans) Thousands in the Bo Manor community experienced her delightful ginger snaps in their cooking classes or during parent conference night where they were always a popular treat.
She taught 4-H gals how to sew which resulted in lifelong skills and even careers in making draperies. Teachers would request Jean as a substitute teacher because they knew their lesson plans would be carried out and she would not tolerate misbehavior.
Her amazing determination and work ethic was admired by everyone. She enjoyed sharing the bounty of her garden and her creative ideas. Jean will truly be missed.

I am very sorry to hear about Mrs. Major's passing. I live down the road from her farm and used to see her often outside in the yard with her flowers and tending to the garden and yard. The last time I saw her she was kind enough to let me have some rocks for my garden and I was thrilled and grateful. She was such a nice lady. I looked for her all summer as I drove by but didn't get to see her. I am very sad to see this news but I will always remember her as as go by the farm. My deepest sympathy to her children and grandchildren.
