Jayden Allen Thompson, age 9 of Oxford, PA passed away on December 28, 2020. He was born on June 1, 2011 in Elkton, MD to Meghan Lynn Kennard.

Jayden was a very happy boy who always had a smile on his face. He brought so much joy and happiness to everyone who knew him. Although he could be ornery at times, he was a Mama’s Boy. He enjoyed being around horses and going on rides with his mom.

Jayden is survived by his mother, Meghan Kennard; maternal grandfather, Jeffrey Kennard, Sr.; maternal grandmother, Dorene Zervas; paternal grandmother, Victoria Greer; maternal great grandmother, Mary Lou Kennard; maternal great grandmother, Mom Mom Mom Mom; and uncle, Jeffrey Kennard, Jr.

He is preceded in death by his paternal great grandfather, Robert Kennard and maternal great grandfather, Nelson Ditzler.

A celebration of Jayden’s life will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 2:00 PM at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911. Family and friends may attend the viewing at 1:00 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “A.I. duPont Hospital for Children” or “The Ronald McDonald House” and sent in care of the funeral home: P.O. Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.

Jayden joined my third graders for Specials at Nottingham last year. His smile is something I will always treasure. I was blessed to know him, if only for a short time. My sincere condolences to all who loved him.
