Janey Lee Eason, age 90 of Elkton, MD passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 3, 2024. She was born on June 15, 1934 in Norfolk, VA to the late Batey Winslow Hudgins, Sr. and Frances Lee (Ewell) Hudgins.
Janey was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and sister. For the majority of her life, she raised her children and cherished those special times. Once her children were older, she worked for Scientific Games as their bookkeeper and retired after 30 years. Janey and her husband, Horace enjoyed traveling together. She loved going to DE Park and playing Bingo. Janey also enjoyed quiet time where she would complete puzzles and crossword puzzles.
Janey is survived by her children: Frank R. Leary (Vicki), Jeffrey D. Leary, and Donald T. Eason (Carmen); many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and her sister, Carolyn McLeod.
She is preceded in death by her husbands: Frank Leary and Horace Eason; sister, Dorothy; and brothers: Batey, Ronnie, and Wayne.
Services for Janey will be held privately.
