James B. Fields, 63, of Conowingo, MD, passed away November 9, 2015 at Seasons Hospice, Christiana Hospital.
Born in North Carolina on June 3, 1952, James was the son of Charles Fields and the late Sara Gregson Fields. He worked in the construction trades as a welder and carpenter, retiring after 30 years. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Rising Sun. James enjoyed wood working, especially making clocks. He will be remembered as a hard working all around family man.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Janis Fields of Conowingo; two daughters, Kelly Fields of Earleville, MD and Deborah Garey and her husband Adam of Denton, MD; 7 grandchildren: Julia, Ethan, Brooke, Fallon, Courtney, Chance and Jocelyn; a brother, Richard Fields of South Carolina; a sister Pam Stoner of Louisiana and his stepmother Joann Fields. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his son, Justin Fields.
Services honoring his life will be held at 12 noon on Saturday November 14, 2015 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, PA, 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911 where friends and family may visit 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Rising Sun, and mailed to the funeral home. To send condolences visit www.rtfoard.com.
