



























Hui Chao of Newark, DE passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the age of 49. He was born on August 2, 1968 in Tainan, Taiwan to Jim and Li-Ju (Tseng) Chao.
Hui graduated from Newark High School in 1986 and attended the University of Delaware. He worked at the Hockessin Athletic Club as a Chef, shift manager and was a cherished friend to all at the HAC. Prior to joining the HAC, Hui worked for Chrysler/MoPar in Newark where he was highly regarded and was voted union representative for the UAW by his peers.
Hui was always full of life with his caring personality. He enjoyed spending time playing golf, shooting pool and rooting for his favorite sports teams, but more than anything, Hui loved his family, friends, and devoted his life to helping everyone he touched. Hui will always be lovingly remembered as a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Hui is survived by his parents: Jim and Li-Ju Chao of Newark, DE; sister, Wen Chao and her husband, Keith Watson and their daughter, Alexis Watson of Moorestown, NJ; brother, Min Chao and his wife, Jennifer (Rising) and their son, Zach Chao of Wilmington, DE.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 W. Main St., Newark, DE 19711. A celebration of Hui’s life will be held beginning at Noon at Deer Park Tavern, 108 W. Main Street, Newark, DE 19711.
