Heidi Ann Lane, 42, of Conowingo, MD passed away on June 27, 2017. Born on February 5, 1975 in Brattleboro, VT, she was the daughter of David Lane and the late Anna Lane.
Heidi was a graduate of Brattleboro Union High School in Brattleboro, VT, class of 1994, where she played field hockey and softball. She went on to attend Castleton State College in Castleton, VT, graduating with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. As an employee, Heidi was a very smart, dedicated and hard worker. In her spare time, she greatly enjoyed reading, skiing, and long walks. A devoted mother, sister, daughter and friend, Heidi adored her daughters, who were the love of her life. She will be remembered as always enjoying life and being a ray of sunshine.
In addition to her father, David Lane of Dummerston, VT, Heidi is survived by her daughters: Madisun A. Lane and Kendall Artrip, both of Rising Sun, MD; brother, Scott D. Lane and his wife, Jolene, of Vernon, VT; half-brother, Jesse and half-sisters, Angela, Kaela and Shelby, all of VT.
A visitation in Heidi’s honor will be held from 6-8pm on Monday, July 3, 2017 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911. An additional visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Atamaniuk Funeral Home, 40 Terrace Street, Brattleboro, VT, 05301.

Heidi was geuine. Her positive, funny personality made me smile everyday. I worked with Heidi at Orkin and will never forget one day when she came into the office. She had received some extra cash from a customer. The first thing she did was give us each a$20.00 bill. That's what kind of person she was. Always thinking about other people. I wish she only knew how much her laughter ank kindness touched others.
