Harvey Ennis McGrady, Sr. of Rising Sun, MD, age 75, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. He was born on April 28, 1943 in Rising Sun, MD to the late Francis Guy McGrady and Lida (Ewing) McGrady.
Harvey graduated from West Nottingham Academy. A hard worker, he was a self-employed farmer and rural route carrier for the United States Postal Service for 28 years. In his retirement, Harvey enjoyed going to weekly sales at Gibney’s. He loved watching baseball, especially his favorite team, the Baltimore Orioles. Harvey also was a fan of the Baltimore Ravens. His greatest joy was in spending time with his family. Harvey and his wife, Susan spent a great deal of time at the Rising Sun Little League Diamond where they supported and cheered on their sons. He will be remembered for his contagious and to the heart laugh and chanting, “Home Run Time!” when his boys were up to bat.
