Grace Carol Dalton, age 89 of Rising Sun, MD passed away on August 7, 2025. She was born on September 29,1935 in Liberty Grove, MD to the late David Eastridge and Almar Elizabeth (Roten) Eastridge.

Grace was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church for over 50 years. Right out of high school Grace went to Work at Fawn Grove Manufacturing where she met and married Cecil and they began their life together in Rising sun. She then landed a new career at the Perry point VA where she continued working for many years before retirement. In the early years, Grace and Cecil enjoyed bowling on leagues and playing cards with friends. Later on game and cooking shows became her favorite past time. She truly enjoyed visits with family and friends, as well as her grand dogs.

Grace is survived by her son, Kevin Dalton (Michelle); grandchildren: Samantha Gelsinger (Jay Weaver), Brittany Eckert (Nolin), Amy Hall (Derek), Stephen Dalton (Vicki), Natasha Dalton (Nate Lucas), and Chris Dalton(Holly); 12 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Cecil Dalton; son, Stephen Dalton; and siblings: Garmon Eastridge, Paul Eastridge, John Eastridge, Eula Booth, Olive Hilton, Ruby Madron, and Pearl Bishop. And special grandson in-law Jacob Gelsinger.

A celebration of Grace’s life will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911. Family and friends may attend the viewing beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Conowingo Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to “St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital” and sent in care of the funeral home: P.O. Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
