Glen Eugene Walker of Newark, DE, age 86, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021.  Glen was born on September 20, 1934 in Stephenson, WV to the late Thomas Glen Walker and Bertha (Payne) Walker.

Glen served in the U.S. Army, came to Delaware with his sister and brother and then worked for the University of Delaware in the Plant Operations Department where he retired after 33 years.  He met the love of his life, Betty and was a very devoted husband.  He also was an amazing father and raised his stepchildren and was a very good grandfather.  Glen loved playing sports, was an avid golfer and supreme bowler-the best in Delaware.  He had a sweet, gentle and kind soul and will be deeply missed.

Glen is survived by his daughter, Tina Osienski; step children:  David Rash, Darene Skinner, Mark Rash; grandchildren:  Anna Osienski, Stephen Osienski, Randy & Jessica, Amy, Mike; several great grandchildren, siblings:  Bobbie, Shirley, Jackie, Linda, Nancy, Myrtle, Drema and Peggy; nieces:  Jerri and Atholene; sister-in-law, Nancy McElwee.  In addition to his parents, Glen is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Rash-Walker; step children:  Linda, Danny Rash; grandson, Chester and siblings:  Johnny, Dixie and Tommy.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to “Bayada Hospice” and sent in care of R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 W. Main Street, Newark, DE  19711.
