George John Deaner Sr.

George John Deaner, Sr. age 77 of Rising Sun, MD, passed away on January 17, 2026. He was born on November 18, 1948 in Camden, NJ to the late George Elwood Deaner and Burtha Edna (Galtz) Deaner.

George was extremely proud of his children and especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed socializing and talking with people and he always brought his grandchildren into the conversation. George was devoted to his family and would always “go with the flow” when it came to family activities. He was also passionate about sports. He liked to watch the Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles, and the Philadelphia Phillies. He always cheered on and supported the winning team.

George is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patrice Deaner; children: George John Deaner, Jr. and his wife, Debbie, Sherry Lee Deaner, and Nicholas Deaner and his wife, Meghan; grandchildren: Josh Deaner, Ashley Deaner, Brielle Deaner, and Brynlie Deaner; great grandchildren: Mateo and Julianna; sister, Jackie Tomafsky and her husband, Chris; and nephews: Ryan and Eric Tomafsky.

Services for George will be held privately.
