Gary Ray Anders, 55, of Darlington, MD passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015.
Born April 3, 1960 in Havre de Grace, MD, Gary was the son of Donald D. and Mary E. (Absher) Anders. Gary was a member of Conowingo Baptist Church and attended Wrightsdale Baptist Church. He was also a volunteer member of the Darlington Fire Company. Gary was a great fisherman and hunter, he enjoyed being outdoors, camping, traveling and he loved his Dodge Ram Hemi. He loved visiting with his family and friends, he enjoyed fellowship with his extended church family, the fellowship of Sportsmen banquets, and he never met a stranger.
Including his parents, Gary is survived by two brothers, Ronald David Anders (Sheila) and Larry Dean Anders (Lori); four uncles, Floyd Absher (Beulah), Charles Absher (Mary), Carl Absher (Pauline), and Milton Absher (Lucille); two aunts, Edna Burton (Curtis) and Charlotte LaBelle (Richard); and numerous extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8pm Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Conowingo Baptist Church, 151 Rock Springs Rd., Conowingo, MD 21918. A service will be held at 11am Friday, October 23, 2015 at the church, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10am. Burial will follow in Conowingo Baptist Cemetery.

I was a friend and co-worker with him years ago at Cello Corporation, in Havre de Grace, Maryland, where we remained friends for many years after working there. Gary and I sure had a lot of fun times growing up. We went camping and fishing and riding motorcycles. Ate a lot of Chunky Bars & Mountain Dew. He was always a hard worker and always willing to give a helping hand to anyone that needed it. We had fun on Uncle Donald and Aunt Marys farm.
