Frederick Price Rhoades, age 80 of Chesapeake City, MD passed away on June 21, 2016. He was born on February 2, 1936 in Chesapeake City, MD to the late, Edgar Price Rhoades and Violet Rhoades (Atwell) Smith.
Fred loved to go fishing and had a soft spot in his heart for all dogs. He was a car fanatic and especially loved the classics such as: Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury. He was a member in good standing of the Union Local 542 for 60 years as an operating engineer of heavy machinery.
Fred is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Emmy Lou Rhoades; daughter, Julie Hubbert-Bryan; son-in-law, Michael Hubbert; two grandchildren: Justin David Hubbert and his fiancé, Erin Eydelloth and Tiffany Samantha Hubbert; and brother-in-law, Jack Conway, Jr.
He is preceded in death by his parents, as well as his daughter, Judy Rhoades.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff and doctors at Union Hospital’s ICU for their kindness and support throughout Fred’s illness.
A celebration of Fred’s life will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 7:00PM at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 318 George Street, Chesapeake City, MD 21915. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6:00-7:00PM where family and friends are welcomed to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to, First Presbyterian Church of Chesapeake City and sent in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 318 George Street, Chesapeake City, MD 21915.
