Frances’ life was devoted to the service of her family, friends, church and community. In addition, she was a Sunday School teacher, was part of the Jr. and Sr. Choirs and the United Methodist Women’s Society, and participated in years of Bible Study.
She enjoyed playing Canasta with her Card Club friends for over 50 years. She also was a Girl Scout mom. She was an avid bowler with her Wednesday morning team at Elk Lanes. Her devotion to the Baltimore Orioles fueled a lifetime of summers, matched only by her delight of Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang.
Frances is survived by her loving husband, Harold Lee. They recently celebrated their 78th wedding anniversary. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Linda Schnatz (Joe), Carl “Wesley” Lee (Lynn), Betsy Clark and Carol Lee, 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother W. Ronald “Spin” Sheldon (Sally), sisters-in-law Elsie Sheldon and Joyce Sheldon and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her brothers Roland “Flint” Sheldon, Frank “Tots” Sheldon, and Charles “Sonny” Sheldon.
Frances was shown great care by her Hospice team at Amedisys, particularly Chris and Michelle. They cared for her and made sure she was happy and comfortable. The family would like to thank them for their devotion to her.
