Felicia Supczak Neat, beloved matriarch of the Neat family, passed away peacefully on February 21^st at the age of 87. She was a local favorite teacher in New Castle, DE and Cecil County, MD school districts as well as a devout Catholic, serving as a nun in her early adult years.

Her parents emigrated from Kamien, Poland in the early 1900’s. Being raised in New Bedford, Massachusetts, she moved to Delaware and then to her farm in Elkton, Maryland. Felicia spent her last days at home in full health and was hospitalized the day she passed, surrounded by family throughout the day.

Felicia is preceded in death by both parents, her husband Joseph A. Neat; siblings Alice Kaczmarek, Edward Supczak and Richard Supczak; stepdaughters Susan Stone and Shelia Hunt; and many friends, family members and loved ones.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews, their children and grandchildren; immediate family Joseph Craig Neat Sr, Ellen Horn, Randall Hunt; grandchildren Joseph Craig Neat Jr, Robert Fleeger Jr, Cynthia Fleeger, Tracie Hunt, Ryan Thompson, Sarah Weaver, Steven C Horn Jr, Brian Horn, Marcia Kayhanfar, Megan Nichols, Nicole Adeladel and their partners, children and grandchildren.

There will be a luncheon and celebration of life on Sunday April 30th at 1pm EST at Felicia’s family home: 369 Ed Moore Road, Elkton, MD 21921

Miss Supczak was one of my favorite teachers. She taught our 5th Grade English class at Dunlieth School in Wilmington, Delaware back in the early 1970s. She was always positive-minded, taught grammar in its simple form, and guided us in activities such as stand up stretches. I still have a candy cane pen that she gave out to our class one Christmas. i recall that every time she introduced herself, she would spell out her last name: "S-U-P-C-Z-A-K." I'm glad that she enjoyed such a long and happy life.

My deepest condolences to the family of “Grandma Felicia”. Although I never had the privilege of meeting her in person I enjoyed the many stories of her love for her family the twins shared throughout the years. May God bless you all and comfort your hearts during this time of loss.
