Emil Louis Krautter Jr, 57, passed away in the early hours of May 20, 2025. He was born to Dorothy E. (Albright) Thompson and the late Emil Louis Krautter Sr. on September 4, 1967 in Elkton, MD.

Buddy will be remembered as a great man, one who embodied courage, strength, and compassion. He enjoyed the little things, finding his peace under car hoods, fishing, and riding four-wheelers. He cherished and found an immense pride in his ’74 Corvette. He could always be found to help those in need, and deeply loved animals, especially dogs.

Buddy is survived by his mother: Dorothy Thompson; his sons: Emil Louis Krautter III (girlfriend, Jenna Campbell), and Joseph Lee Krautter; their mother: Peggy Hitchcock; his girlfriend: Melissa Copen; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his father, Buddy is preceded in death by his sister: Melissa May Krautter; and his brothers: John Michael Krautter and Tracy Kenneth Krautter.

A celebration of Buddy’s life will be held on May 31, 2025 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home located on 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921.
