Dear Melanie & Melissa, It's been 39 years, but how clearly I remember you and your dear family and how thankful I am for your parents. As you may recall, I was one of their first teachers at the marvelous old Leesburg mansion where I was also converted under your father's ministry and where he baptized my children. I remember the day he visited and helped me realize that it was a sin to be as God and later told me to read through the Bible when I didn't believe I believed! PTL I still have tapes of his wonderful sermons which taught and edified so well my fallen mind and heart. He was a major figure in my life, and I thank you for recounting the story of his life and service, much unknown to me; it was a joy to read. Your mother was his tremendous helpmeet, and who can forget her sweet, cheerful smile. How grateful you must feel to have been blessed with such godly examples for your children and your children's children. May the Lord continue to be praised from one generation to the next.Psalm 145:4 May He bless and comfort you.
(I raised my two children in the OPC, Grants Pass, OR, and now have 12 grandchildren here! I have a picture of you, Melissa, as my first babysitter!)

Pastor Urban was my teacher at Fairfax Christian School. I think that he was my best teacher during my elementary and secondary education years. He taught the Scriptures well and also had knowledge of a great many other subjects as well and knew how to properly relate them in Biblical terms. All who were under his teaching are blessed.

Also, Glasgow Church (PCA) of Bear, DE for their care for Ed & Gwen. Thank you to the pastors of these churches for their friendship with Rev. Ed, and for ministering to him in many different ways during the last years of his life.
