Doris L. Sweetman, age 83, of Newark, DE, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015 at Christiana Care in Newark, DE. She was born February 4, 1932 in Chesapeake City, MD to the late George and Lula McKelvey Hutchison.
She worked for Avon as an executive secretary and retired after 35 years of service with them. Doris loved to travel, and was known for her cooking and baking, especially the elaborate family dinners. A kind and generous woman, she especially loved her family, who will miss her dearly.
She is survived by her sons, David L. Sweetman, of Tallahassee, FL, Donald L. Sweetman, of West Grove, PA, and Gary Sweetman, of Newark, DE; brother, Charles Hutchison and wife Nancy, of Wilmington, DE; sister, Kathleen Brumfield and husband, Butch, of Rising Sun, MD; grandchildren, Lauren Stafford, and Matthew Sweetman, both of Newark, DE; and several great grandchildren.
