Donna Marie Kennedy, age 61, of Rising Sun, MD, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 28, 2016. She was born on April 15, 1954 in Coatesville, PA to the late Donald Joseph and Emma Grace Pugh McFann.
She was a member of Porters Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping, playing the slots, watching baseball, playing volleyball, and spending time at Willow Valley feeding the ducks. She loved playing bingo and spending time with her daughters. Generous, nurturing, and selfless, she cared for her family, seeing to their every need. She spent her entire life taking care of her grandchildren as if they were her own. Her husband was her everything, and she never left his side.
Donna is survived by her husband of 45 years, John Kennedy, of Rising Sun, MD; 2 daughters, Donna Yearick and her husband, Brian, of Bear, DE, and Christina Bare, of Rising Sun, MD; 5 grandchildren, Ashley Miller, Jordan Blakeley, Jessica Bare, Jaydin Rhoades and Cody Lawton; 2 great grandchildren, Greyson Gillespie and Allison Frankle; a sister, Carol McFann of Oxford, PA; and brother, Joe McFann of Hockessin, DE. She is also survived by a niece, Monica Evangelista, and those who were like her own sons, Terry Miller, Jeff Blakeley, and Robbie Bare.
In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her sister, Catherine McFann.
A Life Celebration will be held at 11AM on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home; 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD. Relatives and friends are invited to join us between 9 AM- 11 AM. A funeral will follow at the Fremont Cemetery in Nottingham, PA.

I am in total shock reading about the loss of Donna. I have not seen her for years but she was truly a dear friend of mine in the past. We had many conversations about life, our kids and our faith. She was a beautiful person inside and out. I can't image your heartache and know she will be missed. I still use her 'potato salad' recipe to this day and think of her when I make it - always get compliments and it is the best ever!!!!
