Donald Joseph Cole, age 84 years, of Elkton, MD passed away November 8, 2020. He was born on October 19, 1936 in Wilmington, DE to the late Paul Leroy Cole and Ellen Mary Dougherty.
Don was a traveler and especially loved going on Caribbean cruises with his late wife Lorraine. He enjoyed reading the Wilmington News Journal Newspaper. His favorite TV shows were the classic western ones like Gunsmoke and Bonanza. Don also took great pride in taking care of the yard. He worked for Chrysler for 32+ years and after retirement, decided to do some security work at Delaware Park, where he loved to watch the horse races.
Don is survived by step-son, Alan Cornell (Donna); step-son, Dale R. Cornell (Theresa); 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Don is preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Theresa Cole; step-daughter, Lynn Boswell; son, David Cole; and brothers, Dicky, Paul and Eddie Cole.
