Debra “Deb” Joan Kennedy, age 67, of Townsend, DE passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020. She was born in Wilmington, DE on March 22, 1953 to the late John Havell Kennedy, Sr. and Joan Marie (Faber) Kennedy.
Deb was an avid Saints fan who enjoyed watching all of their games. She loved drinking coffee, collecting dragons, and listening to audio books specifically, historical fiction. Deb found her greatest joy in spending time with her family.
Deb is survived by her beloved wife of 35 years, Babbette “Babs” Johnston; two sisters-in-law: Marlene Gregson and Barbara Durham; brother-in-law, Robert Johnston and his wife, Georgia; nephew, Arthur Johnston, Jr.; three nieces: Marian Rose Johnston and her son, Owen Matthew Smith; Laura Wisler and her husband, Ryan; and Denise Madison and her husband, John; and her two beloved greyhound dogs: Gus and Max. In addition to her parents Deb was preceded in death by her brother, John Havell Kennedy, Jr.
A visitation will be held from 5pm-7pm on Monday, September 14, 2020 at R.T Foard and Jones, Inc. 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
