Deborah Ann Evans, age 72, of Elkton, MD, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2025. On December 14, 1952, Deborah was born in Elkton, MD, to the late Ralp Hugh Hamilton and Rebecca Rose Hamilton (Scott).
Deborah was a devoted bus attendant with the Christiana School District for 20 years where she assisted special needs children and students. She had many joys in her life. You could find Deborah reading, coloring or especially doing her prized puzzle books. Deborah loved watching home design shows and even had a creative mind of her own as she enjoyed crafting, sewing and making her own floral arrangements. But most importantly, the joy of Deborah’s life was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Deborah will be remembered for her feisty yet loving personality and her big heart.
Deborah is survived by her children: Melissa Owens, Jamie Hamilton and his wife Donna, Stacey Evans and her fiancé Daniel Myer, Danielle Swartz, and her husband Edward; grandchildren: Richard White, Tyler Hamilton, Emma Hamilton, Avery Hamilton, Jocelynne Swartz, Joseph Owens, Matthew Tuer, Jacob Tuer, Joshua Tuer and Megan Tuer; great-grandchildren, Magnus Hamilton, and Soren Hamilton; and sisters: Tammy Perdue, Gail Berry, and Rhonda Waite. In addition to her parents, Deborah is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Steven Evans and brother, Rodney Hamilton.
A celebration of Deborah’s life will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 12:00PM at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921, where friends and family may begin gathering at 11:00AM. A burial will be held privately.
