I am so sorry for the loss of your father and grandfather. I only met him a couple of times at the family picnic in Seaford, De. He was a very nice man and it seems he may be the last of his generation to leave us. May God bless you and hold you close at this time.

Debbie, Sandy and Sharon, I was so sad to read of your Dad's passing... even though we haven't seen each other since we were teens, I still remember the fun we used to have when our families got together (especially when we used to hide and eavesdrop on the "grownup" conversations)... Your Dad had such a big smile and laugh... and an even bigger heart... he loved all of you so much, and was so proud of his girls. I was so touched when your Dad came to my Mom's (Lorene) viewing in April, 2004, and the following year, when my brother, Mark, passed away, he was there again. My Mom used to share stories about skating at Merry Land with her brother, (Bill Thornton) and Bill's friend, Dave. I still smile when I think about them. I hope that all of your family memories will make you smile, and bring you some comfort and peace in the days ahead. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers. With deepest sympathy, Carol Ewing Fretz Newark, DE

To all the Dean Family: I am saddened to hear of David's passing. I met him through another Newark High School alumnus and always enjoyed being with him. A couple of times I saw him at the all-class reunion we have every year and we ate dinner together another evening at Iron Hill Brewing Co. in Newark where many of us commented that the noise level was deafening! He always had a kind word for each of us and I am so sorry for your loss. God's peace and grace to all, Sally Pinto Krapf
