David Eugene Duchesne, Sr. (72) of Rising Sun, MD, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2023. He was born in Elkton, MD, on July 30, 1951. David was the cherished son of Lonnie Duchesne and Edith Harvey (nee, Chadwick), and the loving husband of Ruth Helen Duchesne (nee, Fuller).
A master carpenter and foreman for Kimball Construction Company, David dedicated himself to his craft with passion and skill. He found solace and joy in the great outdoors, indulging in his love for hunting deer and small game. However, his greatest source of happiness was found in the company of his beloved grandchildren.
David’s legacy is one of hard work, devotion, and a deep connection to nature. He will be profoundly missed by all those fortunate enough to have known and loved him.
Preceded in death by his sons, Stephen Duchesne, and daughter, Carrie Giles, David leaves behind a legacy of love and memories. He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Ruth Duchesne; his son, David Duchesne, Jr., and his wife Chantele; cherished grandchildren: Scottie Giles, Brittney Giles; adored great-grandson, Scottie Giles, III; his sister, Debbie Guimbellot, and his brother, Eddie Duchesne.
