Dear Mrs. Struble, I will always remember "Strube"! I was in the 10th grade when he came to Rising Sun High, and I was fortunate for him to be my and all the other students coach. He was an inspiration to me, and I'm sure to all the other students! I personally left Rising Sun after high school to college, the navy and then my own career. Whenever I was able to return to Rising Sun for visits or high school reunions, I tried to see "Strube" as he made such a wonderful impression on me when he was my coach and mentor. He will be greatly missed by many former students! God Bless, John Copenhaver

Dear Mrs. Struble, My condolences to you and your family as you relive the memories of your time together over the years, and celebrate the life of Mr. Struble. I'll always remember how you two opened your home to your students and the kindness and dedication you both had to teaching and training us...both of you shared in that, and you were special together to all of us. I know he will be missed by many; as his life touched so many of us.

Birdie and family: Barb and I send our love and fond memories in this time of grief. We all had some great working experiences and successes in the Cecil County Public School System and that is where my thought went upon receiving the news from Shirley. Take care, be safe, and our thoughts and prayers are with you today, tomorrow, and forever.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Bertie and family, so sorry to hear about Don. He was always the perfect gentleman. You could bet that when attending the many high school reunions, the aura at Don's table was low key and calm. THAT IS until he and Bertie put on their dancing shoes! Then, everyone was in awe and wide-mouthed. Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers could not hold a candle to those two.
Bertie, I will always remember all of the good times and cherish the friendship we had over decades. We are thinking of you and your family during these very sad times.

Those twinkling eyes, that infectious smile, and the wonderful wit -- all will be missed. However, no memory will linger longer than the one of dancing with him. Don could make a two-left feet bungler feel like a graceful Cinderella with his lead. Bless you, Don.
