Darlene Lynn Ramsey (66) of Fallston, MD, peacefully passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 18, 1956, in Baltimore County, MD, the cherished daughter of the late James and Shirley (nee, Hamilton) Dellinger and the beloved wife of Stephen Brooks Ramsey.
Darlene’s journey began at Patapsco High School in Dundalk, MD. As a member of the Class of 1974, her vibrant and outgoing nature endeared her to her classmates, resulting in her election as Prom Queen. Following graduation, she embarked on a career at Peterson, Howell & Heather Leasing Company in Hunt Valley, MD, where she not only found employment but also found the love of her life.
After the birth of her children, Darlene wholeheartedly embraced the role of a devoted mother. She taught their Sunday School classes and actively participated in all their events and activities. In 1995, Darlene and her husband purchased Chesapeake Harley Davidson, where she assumed the role of Vice President. Her work was her passion, and she dedicated herself to the business.
However, her true joy came from her beloved grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart. She cherished the time spent with them and considered them her everything. Beyond her family, Darlene served her community by volunteering at Johns Hopkins Hospital in fundraising events and was a staunch advocate for animal rescue causes.
